WELCOME TO DRUMBULG
Nestled at the edge of Clashindarroch Forest in North-East Scotland, Drumbulg is a living project dedicated to climate resilience and nature recovery. It represents the evolving relationship between the land and the interdisciplinary practices of artists Sarah Craske, Stephen Melton, and historian of science Keith Dunmall.
Over the last 20 years, our work has evolved in response to the escalating climate and biodiversity crises. Having moved to this remarkable location at the end of 2024, we are beginning a new chapter of creative exploration. By engaging with the land, we are seeking ways to facilitate on-site nature recovery, blending art, science, and environmental action. We are learning how climate change will impact Drumbulg, drawing from the past and the present to develop solutions that are most suited to the climate realities of our future.
2025 AND BEYOND
In 2025, we enter our first full year at Drumbulg. This will be a year of learning, discovery, and collaboration. Our focus includes regenerative architecture, where we will work alongside architects to design studios that not only serve as creative spaces but also support and nurture the surrounding environment. These studios will be tangible examples of how architecture can be a force for ecological restoration, blending with the land and our values.
The climate and biodiversity crises continue to worsen, demanding collective action. This is why, at Drumbulg, we are creating a platform for exploration, dialogue, and collaboration; a place where creative interdisciplinary practice and environmental stewardship converge to spark meaningful change.

LET’S WORK TOGETHER IN CO-CREATING THE FUTURE
Drumbulg thrives on collaboration and shared knowledge. We welcome partnerships with individuals and organisations who share our vision for a regenerative, climate-resilient future. By exchanging ideas, resources, and expertise, we can work together to restore ecosystems, create meaningful work, and explore new ways to engage with the land. Whether you’re an artist, scientist, or someone passionate about shaping a more resilient world, we invite you to join us in co-creating a practice that fosters lasting positive change.
Your support is vital to our mission. The Drumbulg online gallery will open on the Spring Equinox of 2025. Every purchase made through the gallery directly contributes to the creative and environmental restoration happening here on-site. Each piece reflects our commitment to the evolving relationship between humans and the natural world.
Drumbulg is more than a project. It’s a commitment to a better future. We invite you to connect, collaborate, and take part in our shared journey or let us become a part of yours. Contact Us.
